LOOK FOR THE SILVER LININGS SZN 1

When Jenna, the founder of Harmonic Harvest, worked on the creation of the documentary series 'Weaving Silver Linings,' she knew a captivating theme song would be essential. Exploring the public domain, she discovered 'Look for the Silver Lining,' a 1919 classic by Jerome Kern and B.G. DeSylva. Among the numerous renditions, Etta Jones' 1962 version resonated deeply. Inspired by this rendition, Jenna reached out to local jazz talents to perform music before Season 1's Collaborative Conversation. This quest led her to the remarkable Milwaukee Jazz Institute (MJI). Not only did MJI deliver a stellar performance at the event, but they also emerged as one of the 12 grant recipients for Season 1. While working together, MJI expressed that they could help Jenna recreate the theme song, which gives 'Weaving Silver Linings' even more of a deeper connection to Milwaukee. In an incredible collaborative effort, MJI joined forces with local artists to re-record 'Look for the Silver Lining,' infusing it with their unique flair. Special thanks to Marcya Daneille (Vocals), Sam Fettig (Tenor Saxophone), Mark Davis (Piano), Jeff Hamman (Bass), Sam Belton (Drums), and the expertise of Dave Vartanian from DV Productions as the Recording Engineer. Jenna's creative touch along with help from Kayla Green with C&B Creative and Brandon Stearns in Videography and Editing brought this vision to life. Their collective effort not only enriched Season 1 but also laid the foundation for a thrilling tradition. Harmonic Harvest aims to recreate this song in diverse music genres each season.
